But the greater issue began on their return journey. The stay was comfortable with the crewmen living onshore, enjoying the balmy climate, and getting Polynesian tattoos. The Bounty reached Tahiti in the wrong season and hence they were compelled to stay on the island for the next five months. Another thing that went wrong was the wrong estimate and prediction of the crew members.
